I don't know if any of you have had this horrible no good very bad cold. It comes with a complete package- congestion, sinus pressure, cough, sore throat, fever, nausea, aching, etc. This has been our past week- what a wonderful week for tim's parents to fly out for a visit.Tim's parents arrived at our house on Saturday night and Sunday night I had a high fever. They had just got over the cold and of course now I was getting one. This probably came as no surprise to them because I am always sick whenever we go there or they come here. So I did nothing (absolutely nothing) for 3-4 days while Tim and his family enjoyed skiing and snowboarding all over Utah. It was really nice to have them here because then on Tuesday night Tim came down with a high fever. We were both sick and did not want to move a muscle. His parents helped out a ton from doing dishes, grocery shopping, running around town to pick up various things, to playing with the dog it was great to have them here.

The Cold!

We never thought it would happen!!!
Well we are now finished. Minus a few little touch ups that we (meaning Tim because I cannot be around the paint) have to do here and there. Once they installed the carpet and tile it just seemed to be complete. Tim and my dad worked on the bathroom putting in the vanity, sink, tub and all. As you can see Dad busy in concentration. Did you notice he is not wearing any glasses!?! He is now enjoying the benefits of being about to see with out glasses or contacts because a couple weeks ago he had his eyes lazered and seems to be loving it.
While working on the basement Hunter (little brother) was busy creating "The Ultimate Jet" with the top speed of 1000 miles per hour. Notice the mop on top of his head? It is no longer there as of Wednesday night. According to Hunter is his head now feels lighter than ever.
Once the carpet and everything was in Tim was so excited to move the TV downstairs. I on the other hand was not since the only place to sit would be the floor. But needless to say we immediately moved the TV downstairs on Saturday, Feb 9th. I did not enjoy this because being pregnant the floor is not the most comfortable place to sit where I watch a lot of TV. Thankfully Andrew (brother) let us borrow his banana chair which wasn't much better -but it was better than the floor. Then on Valentines Day I came home from work to find....
(special thanks to our neighbor Ragnar for hooking us up with a good deal!)
We then moved the piano downstairs into the living room.

It's a Boy
We are having a boy! We went to the doctor today and we were both very excited to go. The doctor said everything looks really good and that it looks like I am going to be having a big baby. Don't ask we where that will possibly fit in my body. We mentioned that Tim was 10 lbs when he was born and lucky for me she said she would not let that happen. We go back to the doctor again in four weeks and they are going to do another ultrasound to check the size of him. We are glad they are going to do another ultrasound because he would not stopping moving and kept hiding his face so unfortunately she could not get the best picture. But we did get some great ones of his hand covering his face.
This last picture is the best on of his face. He is looking to the left and you can see his arm raised in the air and a pretty good view of his lips. As she was checking to make sure everything looked normal he would not stop kicking and pushing his arms all over the place. He is not even born and already he is a hyper boy. As for those of you waiting for me to post picture of myself you might be waiting a little while. There is now a slight bump but nothing much. I can no longer do my pants up- but belly bands are wonderful invention!

Finishing the Basement
We have been working on the basement for what seems like a century. Although when I say "we" I mean mostly my dad, with some help from Tim when he is not working. They have done everything on there own from the framing, to electric work, hanging sheetrock, and the dreading taping, mudding and sanding. We realized that Tim's parents are coming out in February and really pushing to get it done by then (since our two spare rooms upstairs are a little full at the time being -one is full with things from the basement and the other with baby things).
We have the doors and trim that should be arriving soon (1 week) and then the painting will start up again on those. The carpet/tile people are coming tomorrow to measure and that will hopefully take just a day after the doors and trim are put in!!!!

Christmas Pictures
We finally have our camera! Don't get to excited though because I will not be keeping you as updated as my cousins. Yes Stephanie and Stacey I am talking about you, I have decided you both have too much time on your hands -even though you both have cute little babies to brag about. Here are a few picture we took on Christmas when the camera was working. We had a wonderful holiday -and still have not taken down the Christmas tree.
Christmas eve was great- although Logan was pounded with snow that evening. Tim worked all day and then we headed to my parents for dinner. Our wonderful neighbors the Hartzheim's joined my family for a Christmas eve dutch-oven dinner (his family was in Germany and hers was in Texas). As to what should have taken about 20-25 minutes to get from our homes to my parents home ended up taking a forever long 45 minutes and we were all starving. Tim and I spent the night I my parents house and somehow managed to wake up before Hunter on Christmas morning.

Fall Activities
Here are a few picture from various thing that we have done this fall thanks to our neighbors. Our digital camera decided to call it quits at the end of the summer so we have very few pictures of our own. No need to fear those of you waiting for new posts. For Christmas my parents gave as a new digital camera (the new one will arrive Jan 2nd) and Tim's parents gave us a video camera. Therefore giving us no reason to not keep everyone informed in our daily life. Thanks a lot! Although I am sure we can come up with some excuse. Lately if anything goes wrong Tim just say, "Oh, well Ashley's pregnant," as if that is to explain everything. So yes, I have taken it upon myself to use this same excuse while I can.
Proof I was there! Tim with his new gun.
Nan making the pop cans explode.
Lisa proving she is just as good as the boys.

We like to call this here the two month round up...
Sorry it has taken me so long to get my blogs posted but I have just been trying to finish up college and so haven't had a time. How glorious it is to say the those words; finishing, done, not going back, never ever ever, you get the picture. So that is nice.
Other then finishing up my college career (Did i tell you i was done with college?) Ash and I just got back from California. We got to spend 3 days at Disney Land, 2 days at the beach, and one day at Universal Studio and another in San Diego. It was really nice to get away and we had tones of fun. My favorite two places was the Beach and Universal, while Ashley enjoyed seeing the set for Desperate Housewives and getting to meet Mr. Incredible in person!

Pike, who spent the last seven days home alone with occasional visit from are most wonderful family of neighbors, was very excited to see us and had his ears flat down and his tale waggin for a good ten minutes after we walked through the door. All he has wanted to do since we got home is to cuddle and play.
The basement is cruising along and we now have almost all of the dry wall up, the bathroom plumed, and we have started mudding. It has been really fun to learn how to finish a house and we have enjoyed every smashed finger, every stick of a splinter, every gob of drywall mud in the face, every sore muscle in the back and every dollar spent on adding equality into our house. We are looking forward to the extra room and the guest sweet for anyone who would like to visit. Any takers??
Anyways I finished school yesterday and Ashley starts teaching at one of the local high schools in just a few weeks. I am sure many fun and "exciting" stories will come of this new position with a bunch of reckless and hormonal teenagers. My work is going well and we will see if any new opportunities crop up in the near future.
Well this has been a very quick synopsis of the last two months and hopefully now that I am DONE WITH SCHOOL i will be able to post more often.
