25 Things about me...

1. I love my husband, Ian, and my dog. And look forward to spending an eternity with them.
2. I have finally started to put on some weight (2 pounds) yipee!!!
3. Usually every Saturday I take 2 naps (when Ian does of course). If only church wasn't during both naps on Sunday I would nap then too.
4. My house must always be clean -it drives me absolutely crazy if it is not. My husband lovingly calls me an obsessive neat freak.
5. Every Friday is laundry day -I hate it because lets face it it is laundry, but love it because Ian loves riding around in the laundry basket.
6. I am not a morning person -however I am not a night person either.
7. I love sweets and desserts for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between.
8. I love milk -I drink a gallon every couple days!
9. I don't like shopping for myself anymore -just Ian.
10. I don't like fruits -with the exception of apples and bananas.
11. I love babyfood peaches -always have and always will.
12. If you haven't noticed I am a picky eater.
13. I dread Monday's and live for Friday's.
14. But I love my students no matter how many times the police have to come pick them up.
15. I teach Mathematics at the high school.
16. I graduated in 2 1/2 years with a dual major in Mathematics and Statistics -and composite teaching.
17. I don't like the feeling of not being in control (which means forget trying to do donuts in a parking lot, etc).
18. Used to love thrills, now I get anxious when others do and would prefer to play it safe.
19. Love popcorn -and can't wait to have Sour patch kids again (Ian gets a bad diaper rash if I have them).
20. Love going to my parents house -usually means good food, and conversation of course.
21. Would love to cook but I can't stand the mess it makes.
22. Love watching TV on my downtime before I go to bed (currently American Idol and Bachelor -my guess is Melissa)
23. Started reading twilight back in 2006 thought it was boring and couldn't get past page 20. My students and friends said I had to read it so I started again in January and I am only to page 351 (I have no time to read -maybe I shouldn't watch TV??? In my defense I am usually grading, preparing lessons, etc when watching TV)
24. I love playing the piano -sometimes when I hear my neighbor playing these amazing songs I turn on the prerecorded piano songs and crank it up -then I have a good laugh to myself.
25. Wish I had more time -there are so many things I would like to do just no time to do it.

What would a post be like with out a picture of Ian---we were supposed to get pictures done today at Kiddie Kandids but naptime and scheduling an appointment just were not working. So we had our own mini 9 month photo shoot here at home until next weeks appointment.
Watch would taking pictures be like with out him trying to crawl away.
Lately with his toy walker he doesn't walk anymore -he runs!

Awww...to precious!!!

Visitors!

This past week Tim's family has been staying with us between their skiing adventures down in SLC. They were kind enough to watch Ian For a couple days while I was at work and Tim was at school. We have tons of pictures, as in hundreds, just around 400 if you really want to know. Yes nearly 400 hundred pictures taken of Ian in the whole 4 days they were with us. Do you think they miss him? Nah :) Beware picture overload but I just couldn't choose.

And he is off!

Ian has been extremely happy this past month
-you start to laugh and he laughs with you.

Tickling the Ivories (notice the tongue)

Helping me with the laundry. We have fun riding around the house in the laundry basket every Friday. But I was struggling to get a good picture of him because every time I would stop he wanted to keep moving.

Did I mention Ian loves food!!! He can't seem to get enough of it but thankfully is a wonderful eater! So a little treat every now and then with mom wont hurt him. Notice the Oreo??? He loves them. But he only gets a little cherrio size and I eat the rest :)

Ian got ahold of Tim's cup tonight while he was studying and was having a blast trying to drink out of the cup -good thing it was empty. He was taking a sip (but there was nothing in it) and then just giggle. He is just way too much fun lately!

Concentration!

Ian has been focusing on every little thing. When concentrating Ian seems to think it helps to stick out his tongue...

I am not sure where he picked this up from maybe it is from this beautiful little girl???
This is Ellie who Ian is lucky enough to be able to spend three days a week with. Notice her tongue sticking out??? I am a little suspicious :)

Is my man becoming a woman?

Well as many of you know Tim started nursing school this past week. Things have been a little different around here? Such as my husband now carry's a "murse." What is a murse??? It is a man purse.
This is a very large "murse" and he gets very annoyed when you call it such. But oh boy is it hilarious. I am not sure how long this post will remain on our blog but if you get the chance to read it consider yourself lucky. When he leaves the house in the morning I try to remind him, "Don't forget your murse."

However his murse is better than the other girly cases they are supposed to carry -they have an insane amount of books they must bring daily. Today as I saw him clipping his nails over the garbage can I asked "What are you doing?" It is odd to do such a thing in the kitchen. He replied, "they said that we are not allowed to have long nails." What ????? I am pretty sure that remark was not implied specifically to him but maybe to the other 21 women out of 24 people in the program???? Just a thought. I was thinking it might not be so bad if he became more feminine. Maybe when coming home he would notice right away that the dishes need to be done, or laundry is overflowing? Nah -who are we kidding. He is doing great in school though got 100% on his first test on Friday, and his second one is on Tuesday!

In other fun news....Ian loves food! We haven't found anything he does not like. He would also much rather feed himself. The other night we had spagetti with meat sauce for dinner and he was just reaching for my food and did not want his food so I gave him some of mine to see if he would like it. He loved it! I think it is his new favorite meal.

8 months!

I am not sure how we made it, or where the time has gone by but nonetheless here was are!?! It has been a while since my last post -OK not a while but longer than usual. Things have been busy -very busy. All of your thoughts and prayers must have worked because while day three of daycare did not go well at all, there will not be a day four! Hallelujah!!!

What would our 8 month photo shoot be like without a picture of him trying to crawl away?Gotta love the blank stare.

Free at last! Recently found out that he can reach the blinds and will try to chew on them.

While I am not the lucky one that gets to care of our child all day -we have wonderful friends and neighbors that would do anything for us (even the ones that have moved away we know you would help us out to). Thanks to all of you that have offered and are still offering to help us out it means a lot to know that we have friends and family out their that care so much and beware we may still take you up on your offers every now and then.

Ian is lucky enough to go to our close neighbor's home the Thompson's 3 days a week and the Davis's for day 4. Today was his first day and lets just say that when Tim picked him up he just wanted to crawl around and play with their little girl Ellie and did not seem to care that Tim was there. I myself was quite impressed that she still wanted anything to do with him -we went over for a meet and greet on Friday and Ian ripped a corner her sleeping beauty picture and tried to eat her toes -but she did have toenail polish on and apparently that makes them look quite appetizing. As for Ellie she didn't mind she just slowly slid her toes underneath her and then started handing all the papers to her mom before Ian could get them.

For Ian's first nap their he fussed a little and it made Ellie sad she told her mom that Ian must need a drink. So the mom gave him a drink and put him back down to bed. He fussed a little bit again and she said "Ian needs a cheerio." So she gave him a cheerio and then he went to bed. After he woke up they even took him to the library for Story time -which he loved! Ian even gets to go again tomorrow -oh how he loves books! We hope all continues to go well!

Here are some other pictures from our weekend...

Ready for some football!

Had to show off our Aggie bum!

Ian is the best eater! He loves everything and anything! If you are eating he gets mad if he is not eating as well. Tonight he was quite funny he was shoving everything in his mouth, I could hardly feed him fast enough. I am afraid he is taking after Tim and forgetting to come up for air between bites.

Bathtime: He loves the water. The more splashes he makes the more fun he has. He has discovered that he would rather stand up in the bath -forget sitting you can splash better with your feet or if you stand up and then sit down to make a big splash. But sometimes he slips into the water -no worries he loves getting wet and I catch him and make a bigger splash! In the shower you can't keep him from dipping his head in and also trying to drink the water.

Forget the little piano the big one is so much better!
He giggles the whole time!

So as for us things are going good. Today was a manic monday! Tim's first day of school which seemed to go well. My students were exceptionally obnoxious today making it quite the long day. Now Tim has been asleep since after dinner at 4:30 because he works a grave tonight and Ian went to bed at 8:00 pm. I am just about to turn on The Bachelor (I know judge all you want) and lay in bed watching it as I eat my nightly bowl of Marshmallow Mattie's with a mug of milk -yes mug glass is just not enough and like I want to get out of bed to get more milk.

Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts and prayers it means a lot
-we hope everyone's week goes well!
