Best Friends!

Ian and Pike are best friends -according to Ian that is. If Pike could speak he might not agree -but he still loves him. Appreciate this picture because it took me forever to get. Ian does not like Pike looking out his window -he pushes him out of the way immediately. Then pike tries again and Ian begins swinging at him. It is pretty funny to watch but the two of them still enjoy playing tug-o-war together with Pike's toys.

Ian loves to share his food with Pike -but only if Ian's mouth is currently full of food.
Ian has also discovered with all of his walking that he is bigger than Pike and he tackles him -we are talking bear hug tackle. Pike hates it but deals with it really well. He usually see it coming because Ian gets this mischievous grin on his face and takes off running. Yes running -not walking with a wobble but running. He is growing up so fast he now has three teeth on the top with the fourth on on its way and two on bottom. He loves climbing on top of things and then sliding back down them. He is getting really good at going down the stairs the right way...he can get off our our bed (but keep in mind it is only a couple feet off the floor), and he can get off the couch. It is really nice because when I am rushing to get ready for work in the morning I just leave him in our bed turn on Little Einsteins and know that he will be fine. When he is ready to get down he turn turns around and slides down then proceeds to come in and see how well he can destroy the bathroom. He is a smart kid and is growing up much too fast in just over a month he will be one year old -crazy how time fly's!

Easter

Just to show what a boy he is. He did not care about the flowers he just wanted to play with the sprinkler head and the bark. All ready for church -he can even say Jesus.

After church we headed to my parents house. This is an Easter tradition we always do. Each person represents a color of string. Then another person takes your string and creates a maze throughout the house and even outside. Then in order to get to your Easter gift you have to follow the string and you wind it back into a ball as you go. This is where it begins. If you click on the picture you can really tell.
After a little while and depending on who had your string you start looking like this.
Tim did Andrew's string and Andrew did Tim's. Good thing too they were both mean. As you can see Andrew trying to get his gift.
But all in all everyone is a happy camper even Pike is excited to go.Ian got some cute clothes and books.
With today being such a warm day he is wearing on of the outfits now.Hunter created an Easter Egg Hunt just for Ian...he loved gathering all of he eggs.
Especially if they were sparkly.
We had a wonderful Spring Break/Easter weekend and are all looking forward to Summer!

Dinosaur Museum!

I finally have a moment to blog...things have been extremely busy -too busy! Work is a mess -house is becoming a mess because I am never home -and there is no time for anything. However last weekend Tim, Ian, and I finally got a chance to get away -you saw how the first night went but after that everything was uphill.

Ian loved the hotel and being in a new place and roaming all around it was very clean too
-he loved playing on the big bed. After the first rough night of sleeping he did much better the next day for naps, etc.
The next morning we went to the Dinosaur Museum.
With the idea of getting away from Cache Valley for the weekend -we ran into a lot of people from Cache Valley there. Ian enjoyed the museum and looking around and of course he wanted to touch and grab everything. If he could have he would have played on this dinosaur forever.
We even got a picture with a bunny -dinosaur bunny!!!
My family came down to Salt Lake that afternoon and we went to Texas Roadhouse! Ian loved all of the food -especially the rolls and meat! He of course loved that grandma and grandpa were there too!
We then headed to Ikea..Ian had a blast destroying the city! That night we headed to the pool. It was great because we were the only ones at the pool.
I do not have one picture of him not happy at the pool
-we were in the pool for a good half hour and he was loving every minute.
Loved being pushed around.
Ian loved playing and splashing everyone and lately he says grandpa all the time. He is really good at repeating anything you say. We have a video of him swimming and saying grandpa over and over but it is not loading so check back I will try to load it later.

While at the Spagetti Factory we discovered that Ian loves trying to color.
He didn't even try to eat the crayon!
Doesn't he look so cute in this pottery barn chair!
After our weekend of fun it was time to head home. We had sooo much stuff...everything is ours except for the one suitcase Ian is sitting on -that is my parents. With all of that stuff believe it or not we really did not over pack- it was just right. See what having a kid does to you? Thanks for coming down mom, dad, and Hunter we had a blast!

Spring Break Day 4!

What were we thinking??? I have no pictures to post because I forgot the camera cord but I will post pictures later. Tim is now on Spring Break he has Thursday-Monday off! We decided to head to Salt Lake get a hotel and stay a couple of days. Mostly we need to go to IKEA and pick up a dresser for our bedroom, Ian needs new pants, and I need...well a whole new wardrobe but that is not going to happen. Needless to say we are currently sitting in the hotel and Ian is having a hard time falling asleep we have 2 noise machines going and even turned on the shower in hopes that others do not hear his on and off crying. Tim and I are both wondering what we were thinking...and why did we want to leave the comfort of our own home. If you saw us walking into the hotel you'd think we were staying for weeks we had so much stuff, or at least that we that we were from Florida or something. Although I am much to white to be from Florida -maybe Alaska. But no we are just staying for two nights and live 2 hours away. Just now he has fallen asleep -Hurray. But he has been such a good trooper all day and is as happy as could be that a little bit of crying tonight is OK by me but probably not all the other guests. Oh well they can deal with it!

Spring Break Day 3!

Today was a windy rainy day here in Logan but we still made the best of it. We actually got some cleaning and organizing done...and then we did it all again.
Running away as if he did nothing???

We played chase...

We got a new toy when running around in town...he loves stacker cups!

We even enjoyed playing with old toysIt is the end of the day and I finally can get some good deep cleaning done because all of the children are asleep. Yes all of the children -Ian, Tim, and the dog!

Spring Break Day 2!

Today was off to a much better start. Ian went to bed last night at 8:00 and this time I woke up before him at 7:15 am. Then Ian finally woke up just after 7:30 it was beautiful! We had a nice relaxing day I even got a little cleaning done here and there. This morning when getting ready Ian discovered his new trick for the day.
We put this chair up while we are getting ready in the morning so he can't come in the bathroom. Today he realized that he can easily toss the chair out of his way.
Fun for him -not for me.
This morning we also went to story time (our ward has story time every Tuesday that Erin takes Ian to so I was excited I was able to go). We headed over to the church with the Jeppesen's. Anthony was nice enough to let Ian ride with him and held onto him nice and tight. Ian didn't really seem to care much either way -I had to wake him up from his nap to go so he was pretty mellow.
We loved story time -I think his favorite part was probably the rice krispie treats that Erin made for all the kids for their Easter Egg hunt. Ok maybe that was mine but they were great! On the wagon ride home Ian was practically asleep -then we came home and he took another hour and a half nap. Can you tell he didn't sleep much the day before?
Tomorrow Tim only has school for a couple of hours then who knows what the day will bring.

Spring Break Day 1!

Today got off to a rough start. As you can see...
Ian went to bed at 8:00 last night...Tim and I went to bed just after 11 pm. Ian woke up a 12:30 screaming. I went to check on Ian while Tim was dead to the world on Ambien (how convenient). We rocked in the rocking chair and Ian was still mad as could be. Long story short he laid in bed with me majority of the night because he wouldn't calm down. I think we got a couple hours of sleep.

Ian also learned a new trick today can you tell from the picture above. Yes he now takes off his pants and thinks it is funny to crawl or walk around. Luckily he hasn't taken off his diaper too -but at the rate we are going I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to do that tomorrow too.
With no pants he was a happy camper. Even after his 20 minute nap this morning.

Easter came a little early for Ian and Pike from grandpa and grandma MacNair. They have to know that if they send a box Pike goes crazy until he can sniff in it and find something to play with. Ian was super excited he loves these legos. He has a set of them from my mom that he plays with all the time and now he can build even more towers and even taller (that is if you can build them fast enough before he knocks them down).

With so much excitement in one day who knows what tomorrow will bring!!!
Pray for a beautiful night of sleep!

Walking!

It is official Ian is now walking at 10 months and 1 week old!

He had his nine month check up at 10 months (yes we were a little behind) he is...
nearly 29.6 inches long 86th percentile
19.9 lbs 76th percentile
with all of the food that he eats he has only put on 0.3 lbs since he was 6 months??? I was a little concerned but he eats a ton - when I make him a plate of food there is no point in using a baby plate you might as well just use a regular plate. The doctor was not concerned when he heard he had just started walking and was an extreme wiggle worm while we were there.

This first video is of Ian last week. He loves his walker and at this time couldn't figure out how to turn it. Now he picks it up while balancing and turns it himself. The second clip in the video is of his first few steps. We thought after his first few steps it wouldn't be long until he figured it out and sure enough the next day he was walking from object to object in various rooms. The third part of the video shows Ian's favorite thing to do -we think it is hilarious but maybe we shouldn't. If you listen between the drooling and grunting you can hear him giggle the best he can we his mouth completely full.

The final video is of Ian walking. He is getting better and better everyday. He even can avoid the dog -and from previous movies you can imagine the obstacle that Pike is when videotaping. He even now stops and stands in the middle of the floor changes directions and then is off. However if you have food there is no question he is coming for you!

Two Front Teeth!

Snapped this picture a couple days ago while Ian was eating

ONE WHOLE WEEK -Yes I know -I am way more excited than my students.
Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
