Just got home from the doctor now dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. We are hoping that the baby doesn't come next week so that I can finish out work and mostly because my doctor is going on vacation next week...ahhhh! I suggested that she should just go on vacation near by and then allow me to call her if I do go into labor- she just laughed at the idea and mentioned that it would not be much of a vacation. I still think it sounds great. However she will be back the 26th and is working all week and on-call all that weekend (she is not even taking her regular day off) so we are hoping for that week! She said she will hope to see me on the 26th.

Don't be too worried if you happen to go before your doctor is back. Mccullough didn't deliver me, and Hoarsely did. I really like him and it still worked out well:-) Hopefully though she will deliver you. Getting so close!
Wow! You are progressing really quickly. I will cross my fingers for you that you dont have to go in until your doctor is back. But if it makes you feel better. My doctor was only there long enough to pull the baby out; another doctor cut me open and stiched me up. It all works out, no matter the out come or doctor!
Wow!! This one's coming soon!! You guys must be excited!! Why is it that Doctors ALWAYS go on vacation RIGHT before the baby is due? I have heard of this happening way too often before!
Congratulations and we look forward to seeing you in June!

Thank you!!!
Yeah...it won't be long now! I would be shocked if you made it to the 26th. I agree with the others, my doc wasn't the one who delivered me -- it was actually a midwife, and I loved it! I think what really matters in the delivery is the nurses, and I know the ones at Logan are awesome! Good luck!
yahoo, the count down begins, your days are numbered! honestly, the dr comes in for the last few pushes, catches the baby, sews you up and sends ya the bill. your nurses has a lot to do with the delivery (i was never alone for more than 10 mins from the time i arrive to the time i was transfered to postpartum)! everything will go great, and i know you will love it.
the 26th sounds great as it's my birthday! the crib is beautiful!! can't wait to hear when ian arrives.
