What's New

Time is just flying by...both of the boys are growing up way too fast. Aaron will be one in another couple weeks and Ian just seems to be getting older with each passing day. Aaron has been crawling around at lightning speed. He definitely has the control and strength to walk but could really care less. We have done all we can to encourage walking (ice cream, toys, food, food, and more food) but he will take a couple steps, stand there, and then drop and take off. He also loves crawling straight through things (maybe he has been listening to the bear hunt song too much).
As always he is one super happy baby.
Again -crawling through things.
He has also been loving "organizing" his drawers. We have been transitioning and getting out all the fall clothes, to be followed a week later by the winter clothes.Ian has been loving getting himself ready in the morning. He does not want my help whatsoever. I am quite impressed by this picture because his shirt and pants are on the correct direction :) Gotta love the tie as well. Plus the gel in the hair. He is definitely styling! Such an independent boy. This picture was taken after school and after his "naptime." Yes it has been a little sad around here. Ian no longer wants to take naps (although if he does not take a nap he will usually head to bed between 6 - 7 pm). Though he still needs a nap he will stay in his room for what is supposed to be quiet time. The other day he decided to completely destroy his room. I inform him that "If you make the mess, you can clean it up." The first day it took him 3 hours to clean his room. All clothes had been pulled out the the dresser, toys were all unorganized all over the floor and bed, clothes hung in the closet were off the hangers and all over the place, not to mention books were everywhere. I did not touch a thing! He made the mess, he can clean it up. He had to organize his clothes back into there corresponding drawers, plus put them on a hanger and hang them, not to mention reorganize toys, books, and so on. If he did it incorrectly I dumped it out and he did it again. It was actually very challenging for me to do absolutely nothing. However since then we have had many quiet times and his room has been left in order when quiet time is over. Let's hope it lasts !
Aaron absolutely loves his blanket. Between 10 and 11 months Aaron got three new teeth. His bottom one on the left and his top two teeth. The poor child, he was cursed with my big teeth and Tim's gap.He is still a keeper :)
He has started getting into a little bit of trouble lately and thinks it is hilarious. Notice the cheerios all over the floor. Both the boys have been loving Aaron's early birthday present! You may think it is a little big but I wanted something that both the boys would enjoy. Oh do they! Aaron is now a pro at it as well. He will climb up the stairs, sit down on his bum, and slide on down with a huge grin the whole way! As for Ian he loves to find new creative ways to go down the slide. Yesterday it was the Chinese splits down the slide, don't worry he decided that hurt too much.
The slide has been great! I am not sure I want to move it down do the playroom, it provides hours of entertainment up here. It will be great when the winter months come and we can still enjoy playing on the slide. Oh wait....it already snowed :(
