It's Cold!

If you read our blog or have ever stopped by for a visit I am sure you are aware that Ian does not like to wear clothes. Underwear -yes (thank heavens). But clothes -not a chance. I have never understood why because our house it not exactly warm. In fact it is quite cold. I usually double pajama Aaron for bedtime so he stays nice and toasty. Ian sleeps with a specific order of nine blankets: yellow blanket, blue sheet, down comfortor, quilt, star/animal blanket, alligator blanket, blue silk blanket, blue not so soft blanket, blue soft blanket. Yes they must be in this order or he will let you know loudly that you have made a mistake. The other morning he woke up and came running into our bedroom. He must of realized how cold it was because he quickly grabbed a pair of my pajama bottoms.
Maybe they are a little big?!?!

Ian has been hilarious. I wanted to record a few of the conversations we have had lately (if they sound familiar it is because they are on my facebook account).
Aaron was screaming loudly at dinner. Ian told him to "knock it." He then asked me if that was a good word to say. I responded no. He said, "but it just rhymes with rocket." Good point.

Ian informed me of his Christmas wish list over dinner; pumpkins, bouncy ball with smiley face on it, coconut, a big spider, and bouncy ball that lights up. Interesting?!?! Although tonight he told us that he wants all of Santa's toys. We had the conversation that then other children would be sad because they would not get a present. He said he would share a couple toys with Aaron but no one else.

On our way home from the Logan high football game in the car Ian asked, "Are football people bad?" Me: no, why? Ian: They keep pushing.

While filling the car up with gas a bunch of police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks zoom by with their sirens on. Ian says, "mom I think they are throwing candy!" No, there was not a parade.

Ian: why do we have to go to church?
Me: so we can learn about Jesus
Ian: Jesus won't even be there

As for Aaron he is now almost 14 months old. He tries his very best to run and keep and with Ian and does a very good job. The newbie straight kneed walk is disappearing as he gets better every day. He still loves to push buttons. Actual buttons -although he does a good job of pushing our emotional buttons as well. No means yes in his vocabulary.
One afternoon he decided it would be fun to throw things down the stairs. Only problem is he could not get it and was not about to play that game. I loved the look on his face after he realized he would not be getting his toy back anytime soon. He is starting to pick up on some words here and there. Unfortunately he has decided that sign language is just not fun. He has gone for the method of stare at what you want and scream loudly.

As for Pike he is still surviving. He is very good at running away from the boys, but loves it when they leave their blankets unattended. Ian has decided that he wants Pike to sleep with him in bed. Occasionally we will let Pike stay in Ian's room until Ian falls asleep then he will usually go and jump onto my side of the bed (I have a bed heater on my side) until I kick him out. Overall he is a great dog and we all love him!
