New Van!

It was has been a whirlwind of a week but on Wednesday I we decided to post our Murano for sale. Thursday morning I received a call from a couple that was very interested. That night they drove down from Bountiful to test drive the car. They loved it and we made us a fairly good offer. We said we would get back with them because we did not expect things to happen so quickly. So on Friday we went car shopping. We had already been discussing the idea of a van for quite awhile. While I would really like the new Ford Explore, with little kids and the cost it just was not practical for us.

After test driving multiple vans and looking at a lot of Honda Odyssey's we both decided that used vans smell and look horrible :( The salesman helping us asked us if we had considered the nissan quest. It was not even on our radar given our previous experience with Nissan. Low and behold he showed us this van and we both fell in love! When he opened the doors we knew it was out of our price range because it smelled and look brand new. Plus it had all the upgraded features -dvd, backup camera, roof rack, toe hitch, etc. You can imagine our excitement when we discovered it was a used 2011 Nissan with 20,000 miles on it and the price was perfect!

So after a long long day at the dealership we sold the murano to the other couple through the dealership to avoid income taxes (that would be his thumb over the lens). Then we purchased our new quest van (which also meant we did not have to pay sales tax on the value from our murano that was put towards the van)! Thanks to all the tax information from Andrew, I would have never thought of that myself :) Good-bye murano :( Although I still enjoy the calls from the new owners (older couple)..."How do I make the air conditioning blow on my feet as well as my face?" That would be the mode button. "I need to charge my phone but I can't find the cigarette lighter." There are three: one below the glove compartment, on in the middle console, and one in the trunk. It always brings a good laugh to my day :)

Hello new van! Which we still absolutely love and cannot believe that it is ours! I still need to adjust to the fact that is is much bigger I am not very good at parking yet. The boys think that they can play musical chairs every time we get in the car. They also believe they should be allowed to watch a movie when in the car even if it is only for a couple minutes just because they can. Movies are only allowed on car trips longer than an hour and a half. We have loved being able to carpool to and from preschool when possible. The boys also love to push the buttons and have the doors automatically open for them. We feel so blessed to have everything work out so smoothly!
