Ian Bruce MacNair was born yesterday, May 29, 2008 at 1320. Weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and measuring 20 inches in length.  Here are a few pictures for now to help  satiate the needs of those far far away grandparents and relatives and  even those who just can't get enough of the handsome little guy.

Ahh its so roomy out here!

They only cleaned me up a little.

Just got my first bath and I did not
like it at all but look how clean i am!

The Bitter End -39 weeks :(

Well as of today I am 39 weeks- and yes I am officially tired of being pregnant. As many of you here in Logan know (since we have seen most of you there) Al's Sporting Goods is having a really good sale -well we ended up getting bikes. Not just us either my mom, dad, and hunter got bikes too. Now we are waiting on Andrew -he has to special order his, he is just too tall.
Family bike trip!!! Many of you might be saying enjoy it now because when the baby comes you wont be able to anymore -don't worry thanks to Tim's parents for the amazing baby gift (as seen below) that has been taken care of too.
The front wheel can come off and you can attach it to a bike. It is a chariot cougar 2 and is absolutely amazing. I could actually get in it and have Tim pull me around -which might have been the better route to go but we have to try and get this baby to come out sometime soon.

We have been able to go bike riding everyday and the dog loves to run along side us. The first ride was short only maybe 3 blocks. But today was long. Tim continued to say that there was a park up ahead but somehow whenever we got to where it was "supposed" to be it we just up a little bit further. Needless to say we finally reached the park after what felt like 10 miles (actually just a mile maybe two) and the dog loved playing in the water.

Pike spotted a stick.

Pike trying to get the stick.

Tim helping the dog get the stick.

All in all -my butt is sore, my lower stomach aches from my legs bumping into it as I peddled, and I have still not gone into labor. But it was still a fun day!

Nursery!

Our nursery is now complete!!! Hurray!!! My dad finished the crib this Friday so that it could be set up for the baby shower (we had to show it off it everyone). He built everything himself (of course he did buy the screws) he made all of the slats and everything. It looks absolutely perfect! He did an amazing job and was able to finish it before the baby came. We kept teasing him that the baby (Ian) would not be able to have the middle name Bruce unless the crib was done. He made it! We are so appreciative and grateful it will stay in the family and last forever (literally it is made very well). Thanks so much dad-we love you!

Click on this picture so that you can see the crib up close.

I think everything (I am sure their is a million more things to do) is ready for the baby. I have already washed everything and have it all put away and organized in there places. Now we just need the baby!

Doctor Visit!

Just got home from the doctor now dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. We are hoping that the baby doesn't come next week so that I can finish out work and mostly because my doctor is going on vacation next week...ahhhh! I suggested that she should just go on vacation near by and then allow me to call her if I do go into labor- she just laughed at the idea and mentioned that it would not be much of a vacation. I still think it sounds great. However she will be back the 26th and is working all week and on-call all that weekend (she is not even taking her regular day off) so we are hoping for that week! She said she will hope to see me on the 26th.

38 weeks on Saturday!

Well another day another "everything looks good see you next week" doctors appointment to be reported tomorrow I am sure. Nothing to exciting to report everything is moving along. While mostly I am tired of being pregnant I have discovered a couple (just a couple) of fun things about being this far along.

1. People answer the phone immediately when you call -doesn't matter what they are in the middle of (but please if you are using the restroom just call me back when you have finished and have washed your hands).

2. Your boss doesn't mind if you leave work early- they are too surprised to see you still there.

38 weeks and I even painted my own toes!!!

Back to School!

Tim has officially started school again. This is his second week of classes and they seem to be going pretty well. He is always reading and studying and doing many pointless and monotonous busy work assignments but we are grateful for that because now he does not have time to come up with projects such as this...He leaves the blue tape there (dot above the screen) because he knows it bothers me and I can't reach it. Him and my dad cut the frame that goes around it now it just needs to be put up. It is not yet complete.

Now don't get me wrong I am grateful for this but was it really needed...probably not. A seventy inch screen tv is a little excessive. Although it does have a great picture and is great to watch the jazz games, American idol, and soon to come "so you think you can dance." This is why we are grateful for school, because now there is no time to do random projects like this.

The story behind the picture: Tim was asking me if he could build a screen, etc, over and over. My reply was of course No. I finally got so tired of him asking that I said "ok, but only if you finish washing the baseboards, walls, do the laundry, dishes, clean bathrooms, and pick up around the house." He said "OK" and my reply was laughter. When going to bed that night I woke up for my usual 2:00 am bathroom break to find Tim was not in bed. I opened the bedroom door to beautiful clean smell. You probably guessed it Tim decided that while I was sleeping he would complete my list of chores so that he could begin his project in the morning. Moral of the story...be careful what you say.

Pizza!!!

Tonight my family came over there wasn't much I could think of to make but homemade pizza sounded pretty good and it only takes a few minutes to make. So after the pizza had finish cooking I called everyone up to eat. They all looked in awe at my b-e-a-u-tiful pizza and decided that we need to take a picture to post on the blog. Although my mother did make fun of me for putting my olives on so symmetrically (so I just tossed them on one piece) now I post this picture (notice it looks like the dog could be peeing on her head...lol)!

Ok so he isn't peeing on her head. The dog absolutely love my family and especially my mom and hunter. He was just waiting for her to rub his stomach. Basically our dog is a cat-if you don't pet him he comes and rubs up against you until you finally give in and do.
