Sleep Deprived

Lately sleep has been a rair occurance -and any extra time is spent catching some shut eye here and there. As of last night Ian finally slept without waking up 4-5 times, or every hour to two hours, during the night crying. Although he did wake up once at 3:00 am after a pat on the back, and a quick rock in his chair, he was right back to sleep till 7:30 am.

So now maybe things can start to return to normal. I was planning on taking Ian in for his flu booster today because it is slightly overdue. But I couldn't bare the thought of another sleepless night and he is happy as can be today -why ruin that? The diarrhea has come to slow down we aren't going through 15 diapers a day. We got the medicine for a yeast infection and that cleared it right up. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions will most definitely be looking back to those comments frequently I am sure.

Today has been quite a relaxing day -as you can see by the pictures. Ian has enjoyed climbing over me all day -if I am in the room I am not allowed to do anything but play toys with him or he gets upset. It is 3:00 pm and we are all still in pj's (except Tim -party pooper). But Ian and I are living it up! I am not looking forward to tomorrow. I start back to work and Ian starts at the daycare for a half day. Next week he goes twice just to get him used to the whole concept. I am beyond nervous and really don't like the idea of it. Ian is on such a good schedule and I am guessing that it is all going to go down the drain. Luckily my mom is close by so I am expecting her to keep tabs on him frequently -very frequently mom!

Ian is enjoying climbing, and occasionally walking as long as he is holding onto something. Sometimes he thinks he is better than he really is and lets go with all the confidence in the world -then falls. But no worries he gets right back up.

He has starting eating cheerios and I don't believe is quite as good as his distant buddy Cavin. He tends to first put them in his ear until I put them in his mouth. At the beginning he kept gagging on them -but after a week of practicing he is starting to get the hang of it.

As for me no news. I am still losing weight the doctor didn't seem to be to concerned about it. The doctor was very interesting to say the least and we will not be returning to see him. They are thinking it is postpartum thyroidism so they will run a bunch of labs again in a couple weeks and are guessing that possible my thyroid will turn hypo so I will put on more weight. So until then I get to be poked by more needles. My favorite -sense the sarcasim!

Oh it is one thing after another at that age. I am glad some things are getting better. I hope you get some much needed rest tonight. Flu season is almost over so hopefully you can just bypass that whole thing. We didn't do them this year, and so far so good, knock on wood!
