I still am in denial but our home is sold. As of September 26th we no long own our beautiful townhome in Smithfield. It was a long and sad process but after the sixth closing date everything finally went through. I absolutely loved our townhome. Don't get me wrong, I love our new home but it just doesn't have that "home" fill yet. I wanted to post some pictures of our home since there were so many memories created there, traditions started, and life long friends made.
Lets start with upstairs. Our master bedroom. Tim and I had picked out the bedding and decor while we were engaged. When was pregnant with Aaron I thought it would be fun to paint stripes on the wall. Let's just say the blue wasn't quite the right color of blue (although this picture makes it look much brighter than it really was). Since I was pregnant Tim had to do the painting. You can faintly see the glazed vertical stripes in the picture. After it was all done I decided we should do a different shade of blue. Tim said "Heck No." Apparently he did not like painting that much :) So, it stayed!

Ian's bedroom: Ian's room overlooked the mountains on the East side of the valley it was also were we parked our cars. Occasionally Ian would struggle with naps in the afternoon and ask Tim, "Wake time now?" His response would be, "Not until mommy gets home." The moment I would pull in Ian would be jumping in the window shouting, "Mommy's home, wake time!" Not to mention the curtains. We could not figure out why they made those short curtain's aren't they weird. Nope!!! Love them. Ian would lie in bed and pull the long ones, or try and roll up in them. Short ones solved the problem and blocked out all the light.

Aaron's room: While Aaron did not get to enjoy his room as much (maybe the first 8 months of his life) he did love to look out the window while I was changing his diaper. Ian thought it was so fun to be able to stand on the chair and help hand me things while getting Aaron dressed or changing his diaper.

Upstairs Bathroom: Where the boys had their first baths and showers. Where we discovered that Ian had some wicked climbing skills (Robitussin incident).

View from the master bedroom and living room. Who would not love to wake up looking at the Wellsville Mountains. Gorgeous!

Also out the master bedroom and living room. Park and Pavilion. Where we had Ian's blessing, birthday parties, and many fun neighborhood and ward activities.

Back porch and shed (which Tim built himself).

Basement: I still remember we (My dad, Tim, and Andrew) finished the basement the beginning February of 2008. We wanted to finish the basement before I had Ian. Many hours were spent building everything just perfect! Tim got the couches as a surprise for me for valentines day.
Family Room: Who can forget the projection system and screen. I was pregnant with Ian and Tim got this random idea that it would be great to have a screen and projection system. He brought the idea to me which I immediately shot down. After much begging and him saying that it would be under $100 for the screen and wiring. We already had enough things to do before the baby arrived. So I said if he deep cleaned the whole house which meant cleaning all baseboards, walls, bathroom, furniture, you name it! Then and only then would I agree -I can count on one hand the number of times time has cleaned our bathroom still to this day. We went to bed and apparently once I had fallen asleep he began working. The next morning I woke up to him still cleaning. Upon finishing cleaning he said he was going to go and purchase the supplies he needed. What was I to do a deal is a deal, and he did an amazing job cleaning. A couple weeks later I was put on bedrest while pregnant with Ian, which meant lots of mariocart and nintendo on a very big screen!

Guest Bedroom/Office

We headed up to Smithfield to clear out all of our furniture a few weeks ago. We were able to hang out with some wonderful friends, plus stop and visit some of the places that we love. Well as much as you can do with trying to move.
Anthony snapped a picture of the four of us sitting on the porch of our first home. As you can see the boys were not into having their pictures taken -surprise surprise. It is still baffling to think that another family is now living in our home and creating their own memories and traditions. Besides the month and a half that Tim and I lived in my parents basement while waiting for our townhome to finish being built, this was our home for nearly six years. I can only hope that the new family loves and takes care of it as much as we did.

Ian snapped this picture of me getting Aaron in his carseat just as we were leaving. I thought he did a pretty good job.
