Cheese :)

Tim's brother came down last week and while they all left and went shooting Ian and I had our own photo shoot. Let just say it was a little challenging with me taking the pictures and trying to keep him in one place long enough to snap a picture -we still got some fun pictures though.
Ian's new thing is to push his rocking chair up to the window in order to get a good view but mostly he likes to bang on the window.
This past week he has become quite the little trouble maker. He is constantly trying to get the dogs food, get into the bathroom and flush the toilet, or knock over something fragile. When we go to take him away he begins arching his back kicking and screaming - total tantrum from an almost one year old. I am pretty sure you can't put a almost one year old in time out. Lately I have just been walking away and ignoring it. If I give him the attention he laughs and does it again or finds something new to destroy. Little stinker.
This is Ian with my pump piece. He has discovered that if he blows raspberries into it -it sounds much louder. He gets quite a good chuckle out of it as you can tell.

Livie started doing the same thing when she was about 9 months...total tantrum, complete with kicking, arching and screaming! I asked my doctor what I should do and he recommended time out! So that is what we did. It worked great for her! And now she understands the whole process, so when I warn that next time she will be on timeout (with getting in to things, she rarely throws a tantrum anymore) I don't feel guilty putting her on it (and I don't have to feel like I need to give her more than 1 warning for timeout.) It was the best advise I was given for tantrums! Livie hates timeout! I really think that the best thing for kids is to just stick with a pattern. Whatever you choose to do, be consistant. Otherwise, they are smart enough to figure out that they can get away with things!

I love the pictures! He just keeps getting cuter every day! I absolutly love his smile!

I love the pictures of Ian. His smile and outfit are so adorable!!

Little boys are a handful huh! My pediatrician also suggested time out at a young age. She said to do the amount of time in time out depending on their age. So at 1 year you do 1 minute, 2 years old then 2 minutes...and so on. It works okay with Dre. Every child is totally different so you just have to find out what works for them.

oh I am loving the new tantrums too! He is so heavy that when he does it I about FALL OVER! Man in a year he is going to be putting me in time out! Good luck! I never know where to put him at that age in time out....I used the crib for ella and I don't think that is a great place..who knows!
He is adorable though and I so wish Cavin and he were still best buddies!

Holy cow, he is getting so big. He looks like a toddler now instead of a baby.
