Grandma Kathy

This past week we were lucky enough to have a lot of my family stay with us. My Uncle flew in from TX, my parents and brothers were here, and my grandparents stayed with us as well. It was great! I loved having a full house, plus we had room for more!

Uncle Todd, Grandpa Foster, My mom

Aaron loved all of the added attention. Not to mention he loves his great grandpa (good thing since he is named after him).Although we did find that mostly he loved to pull the hair on his arms. Not so sure that grandpa enjoyed this.Ian as always loved having familiar faces in our home. Andrew always comes up with the best games to play with Ian. You can see the sweat just dripping off of him as he runs around in a circle. They are downstairs in the basement family room (aka Ian's play zone with soccer net, basketball hoop, and millions of balls).

All my family came down because we were helping my grandma Kathy moved everything out of her condo into an assisted living center. In all the craziness of helping her move, I did not even get a picture of her (to come at a later date). She had this Lane Cedar Chest in her closet. She was going to give it away but I was sure we could do something with it.

Before.
After
Tim and I tried our best to strip it back down to the original cedar but it was just not working. We did the next best thing and repainted it! Tim says that I need to stop watching the Nate Berkus show. He claims that it just gives me ideas of things for him to do. The next step is to make a fabric headboard for our bed. Ok, my to do list in our new home goes on, and on, and on.

There were a few...different....finds as well at my grandma's condo.

The only downside to having that many people stay at your home. The large amount of laundry afterward. I think that Pike thought that was the best part!
It was great getting together with family even if we were busy the entire time! Thanks for coming and staying with us! Come back soon!
