January

The month of January has come and gone! We have been loving all of the crazy snow storms and only hope for more. Ian has been loving skiing as usually. Plus, my family has been able to come down a couple of weekends (so the guys usually go snowboarding and skiing).  Tim always were his contacts when he goes and Aaron is having a hard time understanding that he does not have contacts as well. It is pretty funny.
With all of these crazy snow storms cars have not been able to make it up our hill...thank heavens for 4-wheel drive! The boys love watching and occasionally get their cars out as well. We finally broke down and purchased a snowblower which means -it hasn't snowed since :( Hopefully we can expect some great snow storms in February as well.

As usually all this snow also brings out crazy drivers. Literally. My poor brand new van :(
A teenager that just moved here from California was playing and getting used to his new jeep. Clearly he needs more practice. Tim was driving and we were all in the car. Thankfully no one was hurt. I was not exactly polite to the poor scared spit-less teenager and had to wait in the van. Three weeks, and four thousand dollars in damage later I finally got my van back. Don't worry we did not have to pay a cent :)

Since Aaron was born things have been known to go missing. We have lost many many shoes and now are in the habit of looking through the trash before it goes out. Somethings we just never find. I don't know where they disappear too. Tim was moving the subwoofer and could hear odd noises from inside. So he pulled it apart and look what we found! The apple TV remote has been missing for almost a year. I don't even know how he manage to get all of these things in there. Now we are searching for Tim's wedding ring...yep, his wedding ring. He took it off when lathering Aaron in aquafor for his eczema and hasn't been able to find it since. Don't worry we already pulled apart the speaker, no such luck.

In the meantime we have also been having a lot of fun indoors.
The beanbags the boys got for Christmas have surprisingly been the most entertaining. I figured they would lounge in them for a movie or reading books. Nope, way more fun to superman into them. I keep waiting for them to get tired of jumping and flipping on them, but they don't. January is over, and while I am writing this February is nearly over and they are still busy jumping and flipping.

Ian has decided that he can do backflips now....oh dear.

Aaron's attitude/personality grows stronger each day. While laying on the couch the other day I turned around to find him playing with all four Finn McMissile cars. He also loves Lucky Charms! Correction: He love the marshmallows in Lucky Charms! He will ask for a bowl then pull out all the marshmallows, line them up, and eat them one by one.
He is just so so cute!

The boys have always loved to help in the kitchen. Daddy has been quite the cook lately and I think the boys might be enjoying it more than when I cook :( Although daddy doesn't know how to make the good stuff....dessert! Our current obsession is bbque chicken crepes (the boys and I like to add olives as well). Ian had a friend over and they stayed for dinner. Ian had two bbque chicken crepes and his friend would not touch his plate. Ian asked, "what's wrong with you, aren't these the best things for dinner ever? You should eat or or you won't get any dessert." Tim and I could not help but laugh at how baffled Ian was. Sure enough his friend went home with no dessert.

Ian has been loving legos. Everyday he tells us that he wants all the superhero legos for his birthday. I then remind him that he birthday is not for four more months.

If Ian cannot be found playing with legos he is usually writing or drawing a picture in his notebook. This is a song that he wrote for me! It is three additional pages that look just like this front and back. It always makes me laugh.

Ian loves making me presents and surprises. While Tim's parents were here over Christmas his dad watched me recycle one of Ian's drawings. His remark was, "You are not going to keep that?" I think I may have laughed a little because Ian draws a lot of pictures. So I decided to start making a collection...the picture below is two days worth of "surprises." He loves his mother! Can you imagine if I actually did keep them all. So, the answer is a definite nope! Don't worry though I do keep a few that I love and I tend take pictures of some of my favorites (like the one above)!

These boys are our world! The picture below is just before bedtime. They decided they were glued together and would have to stay that way all night!
