One Year Old Ava

This sweet little angel turned a year old! I can hardly believe she is a year old and that we are lucky enough to call her ours! She has brought so much joy and love to our family, we are truly blessed. She is such a cute petite thing but as busy as ever.

Weight .......... 18 lbs  8 oz ..........29th percentile

Length .......... 28 1/2 inches .......... 24th percentile 

Head Circumference ........... 44 cm ........... 24th percentile

She is a daddy's girl and Tim absolutely loves it! She used to only say "mama" if she was crying.

She is crawling everywhere and doesn't not stop for anything obstructing her path.

Loves furniture surfing.

Sleeps a solid 12 hours at night sometimes even more.

Has recently decide she doesn't really like napping -she wants to see what everyone is doing.

She can go from a sit to stand without holding onto anything.

She could walk -but has no desire since she is constantly being waited on ;)

She can say "mama, dada, baba, ian, aaron, ider (ryder), rma (grandma), rapa (grandpa), nana (it is always confusing when they are little since the meaning changes to either nana or banana), Hi, bye, itty (pretty).  

Her favorite foods are carrots and sweet potatoes. She does not like eggs or hot dogs.

She has become very vocal in letting you know what she wants -thanks to her brothers I am sure.

We celebrated Ava's birthday in Logan with family. Spaghetti and corn :) 

After dinner daddy got to work making her lamb cake.

He did a pretty good job decorating too. Yes, daddy does everything that has to do with the lamb cake. It is a tradition in Tim's family that we disagree on so it is his responsibility :)

The cake for the rest of us to enjoy! Although as you will see in a minute from the video we all enjoyed eating the lamb cake. As much as I dislike it, it tasted really good.

Thankfully Grandma and Grandpa saved the day since I realized when we passed SLC that I left all of Ava's birthday presents at home :( She absolutely loves her first doll. After about 5 minutes of opening presents she decided she was tired and uninterested. The boys helped her with the rest :)

I still can't believe she is a year old! It seems like just last week I was laying in bed watching Netflix on bed rest. Now she is a year old and absolutely perfect! Happy Birthday sweet Ava, we love you!
