Summer

Summer is here and the time had come for buzz cuts! Now all the kids match :) Don't worry we did not cut Ava's hair.

With summer in full swing we also had to implement some other policies. So far I am loving it! I found a lot of similar ideas on Pinterest but they were too complex for young kids so I made my own. It has been great!

We have been making quite a few trips to the Library. I am amazed at the amount of superhero books they have. Everytime we go I think just maybe we will have read them all and sure enough they find a whole new stack.

Ava has discovered that all things are meant to be worn as a necklace and if that doesn't work a crown. It appears that Ryder's collar makes for a good princess crown.

We have been spending a lot of time playing outside and it is hot! Ian had soccer camp for a week -that was an adventure that I do not want to relive. Mostly we try to find activities that involve water. Our sprinklers now turn on at 6:30 every evening- so if you can't get a hold of us you now know where to find us.

Legos are amazing. The boys can sit and play with Legos for hours. They have to stay in their room and keep the door closed because Ava loves to get her little fingers on tiny legos. They are both so creative we love seeing their creations.

Ian has had a lot of fun building some of his new sets he got for his birthday.

I love watching him read the instructions, process, and build.

Tada! All on his own!

We have also had fun painting and this activity was perfect for Aaron.
The boys were beyond excited for their dentist appointments. They love going to the Dentist. Aaron has developed quite the gag reflex. You bump his tongue and he gags. Thankfully both the boys teeth were awesome and no cavities!

Ava has us all baffled! I walked out of the room for a couple seconds and came back to her laughing on the couch with the dogs toy. This could be a problem.

I can't believe how fast summer is flying by already. There is nothing better than a snow cone on a hot day.
