Summer Camping

What better way to continue our summer than a little camping! Problem is our family has outgrown our tent. So it ended up being a boys weekend -dog included :) The boys were all loaded up ready to head out.

Ava and I stayed back and enjoyed a girls evening! Ava also gave me quite the scare/surprise when I stepped out of the room for a moment and returned to her laughing on top of the couch. She is such a little monkey! I am amazed everyday when she is still in her crib. Both boys were in big boy beds before they were a year old. So far she has no desire to climb out...it makes things so much easier.

Back at camp the boys wasted no time. They immediately began exploring and covering themselves in dirt.

Next up FIRE!

Apparently a fire is even better if you have a "fire dance." I love how Ian whispers softly at the end, "Dad, this is awesome."

It was a successful night and both the boys slept great!

Daddy made them pancakes, eggs, bagels w/cream cheese, and hot chocolate for breakfast.

I am so glad that they had so much fun! They came back just as happy as when they left just a little dirtier. Hopefully we'll be able to fit in a few more camping trips before the summer is over.
