2 Weeks old!

2 week check up: weight 8 lb 8 oz
length 20.5 inches

at birth 7 lbs 14 oz
length 20 inches

Ian had his 2 week check up yesterday and everything is going really well. The doctor said that he looks great and that he is a very strong boy and apparently he has big feet. Tim and I are doing well a little tired and loopy but surviving.  Ian was doing great and already sleeping 6-7 hour stretches during the night however the last two days he has discovered that he would rather be up majority of the night for 6-7 hour stretches. Not to worry though last night he slept another 7.5 hour straight through. Cross your fingers that it continues!!!

The dog loves the baby he is very protective of the two of us and rarely leaves our side.  We have been working on teaching the dog that he is not allowed to touch the babies blankets, setting up boundaries and he is doing really well. Unfortunately I think the picture below might have just ruined all of that work.

Ian sleeping on his Uncle Hunter -lol that just sounds funny

We had our first official outing today ( I guess doctors appointments do not count). We went to the Summerfest here in Logan. The baby did really good he slept majority of the time in his chariot and woke up just as we were walking through the last half. He was quite hungry at this time so we decided to head back home. It was a nice warm day with a little bit of a breeze. Ian was covered with a blanket for protection and so people could not come up and get in his face (being that he is only 2 weeks old). I think he enjoyed it but then again he did not have much of a choice. Then on the way home we stopped by sonic and I got a butterfinger blast shake! Yep that is right I eat one everyday. I may not be pregnant and get to have tim get me what I would like at my beckon call but I am nursing so I think it is only fair. So if you decided to come and visit us feel free to bring a shake over and make sure you are healthy as well :)

I love the new blog layout. It's crazy to see your hair so long, I forgot it was that long. Way to go on getting out with the baby. They are the easiest to travel with the first 5 months because they sleep so much, it is just not so easy with a feeding schedule. Hope he keeps sleeping for you. You've given me a new craving for that shake, it sounds good, Nolan will be happy to have another fast food item on my favorites list:-)
