This is my parents first grandchild -I am the oldest in the family. They have been a tremendous help. Especially my mother. Tim as many of you know is in school and has class Monday thru Thursday at night. I was in the hospital 2 nights both of which Tim had school. My parents were in the hospital keeping me company -although I am sure it was just they wanted to see Ian :) After we left the hospital my mom took a couple days off of work so that she could stay and help out at home.

I am ever so grateful to my mother. The thought of her not being her now is enough to make me start crying all over again -did I mention that my hormones are all over the place. She came over on Saturday when we got home from the hospital and kindly choose to help us out instead of go down to a family gathering. She helped so Tim could study for his exams and so that I would not be alone when he was working graves. She arrived with bags of groceries and my personal favorite she even found a snow cone maker (I love snow cones and craved them all the time during my pregnancy -although I pretty much use that as an excuse so that I can have one anytime I would like). She came in and started cleaning around the house making breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She made sure there was always food and a drink of water by my bed and would make grape snow cones around the clock. When the baby was up my mom was up, and even at all the 2 am, 4 am feedings while Tim was working graveyards. It was comforting to know that someone was there that I could rely on -although I will still call if needed to at 3 in the morning because I know she wouldn't mind. I only hope that I can be half of the mom that she is. I love you mom!
