Pumpkins!

This weekend was quite eventful. On Friday we bundled up and headed for the pumpkin walk with our neighbors (sadly for only a few more weeks- they are moving on to warmer places like Texas) the Hartzheims.
For those of you who don't know the pumpkin walk happens every October here in good ole Cache Valley -where various organizations and groups but together different displays using pumpkins. Mostly of them are painted but occasionally you get a few nicely carved ones.
As for Ian -about 5 minutes into it he slept the whole time.

But doesn't he just look so cute in his beenie.

If I can get a hold of it
-then I am putting it in my mouth.

This is the current stage that Ian is in -everything goes in the mouth. Yes even if he can get a hold of the dog he attempts to eat him (don't worry we don't actually let him). Anytime he spots the television remote or a phone he lights up and then only wants that. He now gets a little upset if you take away toys. During church he started to eat his book -we took it away and needless to say we had to excuse ourselves from the rest of sacrament meeting because he was so mad. As far as rice cereal goes -he seems to be enjoying it (despite the look on his face here).
The last couple of nights have been horrible -he has been waking up fussing every hour -to be exact every 64 minutes on the dot. Why??? Good question -that I have been asking myself and others for two days. He was pulling on his ear -but doctor said he doesn't have an ear infection. We think it might possibly be that he is teething but I can't feel anything yet.

Carving Pumpkins
Despite our lack of sleep on Sunday we carved pumpkins with my family. Tim was a little excited -ok ....a lot because he would finally have something to show for his work. Last year he did scar (from Ling King) it was amazing but unfortunately we carved them to early and his rotted out. This year he thought he would change it up.
After a 4 hours of planning and carving Tim's creation was finally complete.
Yes even Ian joined in the fun -he wanted to eat it as usual.

Meanwhile the rest of us complete all of our pumpkins -but Tim was nice enough to clean all of our pumpkins out too!
Tada!!!
Spider -my mom
Transformer -Tim
Noah's Ark -me and Ian
Spooky Face -Hunter
Tomb -Me

Now hopefully they all last until Friday!

The pumpkins are impressive! Nice job! I'll pray that Ian sleeps well tonight so that you can finally get some sleep too!! I am not sure why men are created with ears that shut off at night! Some day right! We had fun with you and look forward to the corn maze tomorrow!
